This shows the papillary structures (i.e., finger-like projections
with glandular cells on the outside). Note the high
nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio of the cancer cells, and how they
stack up. There are necrotic cells between the papillae in
the free space, and this helps us know it's malignant too.
