Pathology -the study of disease.

Pathology is the scientific study of disease. Disease could be defined as internal problems that cause pain and/or interfere with a person's ability to work, play, and/or love others.

PATHOLOGY GALLERY

Disease is defined as any deviation from or interruption of the normal structure or function of any part, organ or system (or combination thereof) of the body that is manifested by a characteristic set of symptons and signs and whose etiology, pathology, and prognosis may be known or unknown.

Normal is defined as agreeing with the regular and established type.

The following is a copy of my LIVING WILL

DECLARATION

Declaration made this_____day of ______,199_,I,__________, being of sound mind, willfully and voluntarily make known my desire that my dying shall not be artificially prolonged under circumstances set forth below. I do hereby declare: If at any time I should have an incurable injury, disease, or illness certified to be a terminal condition by two physicians who have personally examined me, one of whom shall be my attending physician, and the physicians have determined that my death will occur whether or not life-sustaing procedures are utilized and where the application of life-sustaining procedures would serve only to artificially prolong the dying process, I direct that such procedures be withheld or withdrawn, and that I be permitted to die naturally, with only the administration of medication or the performance of any medical procedure deemed necessary to to provide me with comfort. Life-sustaining procedures I choose to have withheld or withdrawn include surgery, heart-lung resuscitation (CPR), antibiotics, mechanical ventilator (respirator), and tube feedings of both food and water. In the abxence of my ability to give directions regarding the use of such life-sustaining procedures, it is my intention that this declaraion shall be honored by my family and physician(s) as the final expression of my legal right to refuse medical and surgical treatment and accept the consequences from such refusal. If I have executed a valid form of bequeathal of any of my organs for transplant or other purposes, I do, however, authorize and request that I be kept alive by artificial means for a time sufficient to enable a physician or physicians to harvest after my death the organ or organs to be transplanted. I understand the full import of this declaration and state that I am emotionally and mentally competent to make this declaration.
